a bit about me

I earned my BFA in Communication Design from Pratt Institute.  As an illustrator, I constantly pull from childhood experiences.  Most summers where spent with my grandmother who lived in a rural community in central Texas.  You can see these experiences in just about every book I’ve illustrated.

In the ten years I’ve worked as a freelance children’s book illustrator I’ve worked on over ten children’s books from some of the following publishing houses, Lee and Low Books, Lothrop Lee & Shepard, Scott Foresman , Holiday House, Carolroda Books, Simon and Schuster, and Lerner Publishing Group.
